Fore ! A Packing Mulligan Well Used !

I got a call this morning from a “Joan and Bill” who happened to be driving to Florida from their summer home on Cape Cod. Well Joan and Bill had just gassed up in Pennsylvania and were accelerating up the long entry ramp to the highway and viewed what appeared to be a set of Golf Clubs in the middle of the ramp and close to whizzing traffic. Risking life and limb they exited the vehicle and quickly scooped up the bag and pulled ahead and over to examine it. They quickly noticed that the clubs belonged to a chap from Vineyard Golf Club who shall remain nameless to protect the guilty! Joan, searching her I-phone, we surmised, punched in ” golf clubs on Martha’s Vineyard” and came up with the phone number for Edgartown Golf Club. She got me, told me the story and identified the owner of the wayward sticks. Familiar with the guilty party, but not familiar enough to have his cell phone number, I proceeded to make many calls and texts in an effort to track him down before he got too far down the road. After about an hour, Eri, the head pro at Vgc got back to me with a cell number. We are pleased to let you know that the two parties have connected and the clubs are back in their proper spot in a secured trunk. The morale of the story ? Mulligans off the first tee are fine but mulligans on Interstate 95 are very rare indeed !

Ps. If anybody spots a black lamp with a brown shade on the side of the road , please call me , that item is still missing !
